Milk Purity & Safety
5Not really. Commercial milk often travels long distances, is stored in plastic, and undergoes heavy processing. By the time it reaches your glass, it has lost much of its natural goodness. Milkvilla delivers farm-fresh milk with minimum handling.
Pasteurization is mainly done to extend shelf life and to safeguard milk moving through unhygienic supply chains. At Milkvilla, we deliver milk within 12 hours of milking, maintaining MBRT > 6 hours - a scientific indicator of purity. Our strict cold-chain ensures hygiene and safety without over-processing.
MBRT (Methylene Blue Reduction Test) measures the bacterial load in milk. A higher MBRT time means fewer bacteria and fresher milk. Milkvilla maintains MBRT above 6 hours, which indicates exceptionally pure and fresh milk straight from the farm.
We follow a strict cold-chain process from farm to doorstep. Milk is chilled immediately after milking and transported in insulated steel cans on electric vehicles, ensuring it reaches you fresh within hours of milking.
Milkvilla pays farmers fairly and directly, removing middlemen. This ensures farmers get higher, stable incomes while you enjoy fresh milk. We also support them with training, IoT tools, and sustainable dairy practices.

Raw vs Processed Milk
4Pasteurization and homogenization aren't inherently bad, but they often strip milk of its natural goodness. Pasteurization reduces enzymes and alters proteins, while homogenization can affect digestibility. Milkvilla avoids unnecessary processing by delivering fresh milk through a hygienic cold-chain.
Eco-friendly milk might look slightly costlier upfront, but when you factor in health savings, fewer doctor visits, and zero waste disposal cost, it's actually cheaper for families and the planet.
Yes, raw milk retains natural enzymes like lactase and lipase, beneficial bacteria, and heat-sensitive vitamins like B and C that are diminished during pasteurization. This makes it easier to digest and more nutritious overall.
When sourced from healthy cows and handled through a strict cold-chain like Milkvilla's, raw milk is safe for the entire family. We recommend boiling at home before consumption for added safety.

Packaging & Sustainability
5Because less than 10% of India's plastic waste is effectively recycled. The rest ends up in landfills, rivers, or gets burnt releasing toxic fumes. Reuse is always better than recycling.
For every 1,000 liters delivered in eco-friendly cans, we stop 2,000+ plastic packets from polluting the earth. That's a measurable, everyday impact.
We run our logistics on electric vehicles (EVs), cutting down carbon emissions to almost zero. By avoiding unnecessary processing and sticking to a cold-chain model, we deliver freshness for you and sustainability for the planet.
Because change always begins small. If even 10 families in your neighborhood switch, you'll prevent nearly 60,000 plastic pouches a year. Imagine the impact if 1,000 families joined.
Our cans are made of food-grade stainless steel that is durable, non-reactive, and fully reusable. They are professionally sanitized after every delivery cycle using hot water and food-safe cleaning agents.

Ghee Quality & Storage
8Desi Cow Ghee is made from the milk of indigenous Indian cow breeds like Gir, Sahiwal, and Rathi. These cows produce milk with a superior nutritional profile, and the ghee has a richer aroma and taste compared to commercial varieties.
Our ghee is made using the traditional Bilona method. Fresh desi cow milk is curdled, churned to extract butter, and then slowly simmered to produce pure, aromatic ghee with maximum nutrients.
Our ghee has a shelf life of 12 months from the date of manufacture when stored properly in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight.
Yes, we use 100% plastic-free, recyclable glass jars and sustainable packaging materials to minimize environmental impact.
Absolutely. Desi Cow Ghee has a high smoke point of around 250 degrees Celsius, making it perfect for deep frying, sauteing, and all types of cooking.
The Bilona method involves hand-churning curd to extract butter, which is then slow-cooked into ghee. Unlike machine-made ghee produced directly from cream, the Bilona process preserves more nutrients, natural aroma, and results in a grainy texture that signifies purity.
Glass is non-reactive, meaning it does not leach chemicals into the ghee. It also preserves the aroma and freshness far better than plastic. Plus, glass jars are reusable and fully recyclable.
Store ghee in its original glass jar in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight. Always use a clean, dry spoon to avoid moisture contamination. Properly stored ghee does not need refrigeration and stays fresh for up to 12 months.
